Sean Boyd grew up in Oxford, in the United Kingdom. Sean is a specialist in "Infrastructure Financing and Delivery" (helping Governments deliver new railroads, airports, tunnels/bridges and public facilities of all kinds). Sean has worked in 3 very different career paths within the overall "Infrastructure" sector - he started as a corporate attorney in big law firms in London and New York, he then worked as a developer/investor in infrastructure projects in London and Washington DC, and now he works as a management consultant in Los Angeles. He studied law at the University of West London, and went to Law School in London, but has been back to Business School to do a Master's in Financial Strategy. In 2014, Sean relocated from London to Washington DC with his wife and 2 kids, and in 2019 he relocated with the family to Los Angeles. He has a son who is a 6th grader at MCMS and a daughter who is a 3rd grader at BES.

Erica Groten-Varnen started her writing career crafting articles for magazines and newspapers in California. A career change led her to a leadership training position at Countrywide Home Loans. While at Countrywide, she continued writing by creating classroom training modules. An opportunity changed her career path, moving her into technical writing. She has written training sections for the City of LA and has produced policies and procedures for Bank of America, Stearns Lending, iPayment, and Center Street Lending. Erica also freelances for Red Tricycle, an online magazine. Her pride and joy is currently a senior at OPHS.

Anna Thomas graduated with a degree in Economics and an MBA in Finance from Delhi University in India, then came to the US and did an MA in Economics from Michigan State University. She has worked for various companies over the last 30 years - Citibank, Countrywide, Avon, Sparkletts, PennyMac etc. For the last 20 years she has worked in Mortgage Banking, in the area of Financial Planning & Analysis. She is the proud mother of one son, who is in 7th grade at Medea Creek Middle School.
